Date: 28th July 2008
Jigsaw Events have chosen the Dartmoor Zoological Park as their voluntary assistance project this year. We have secured donations of materials from Kier Western at the Langage Energy Park, plants from Plymouth Garden Centre at Crownhill and items such as a shed from B&Q at Plympton through their Waste Donation Scheme.
The last two months have seen Jigsaw Events busy with the coordination of regional events for the Institute of Directors, including sell out visits to Ginsters, Devon County Council and RNAS Culdrose in Helston. Future events for the IoD calendar in 2009 include visits to Toshiba International in Plymouth, Davidstow Creamery in Camelford, Fifteen in Cornwall and Paignton Zoo.
Jigsaw Events are pleased to announce that they will be working with Twofour Academy, providing event organisation and logistical assistance for a training programme they aim to run in Plymouth in October 2008.
The Twofour Group, as one of the largest centres of communication excellence in the UK, has an impressive background in broadcast tv, and digital communications across all platforms, live events and media skills training.
PLYMOUTH DISCOVERY TOURS
Jigsaw Events completed the launch party and event management for Plymouth Discovery Tours in April, which offer locals and visitors alike the opportunity to take a one hour bus tour viewing historical sites in Plymouth. Passengers are given historical information from both their human guide and the virtual guide Charlie 'on screen', with opportunities to see, touch and try on genuine World War II artifacts.
SECURITY MANAGEMENT SOUTH WEST
Jigsaw undertook the Rebrand launch and event management for Security Management South West at the end of February, at the Treasury Lounge in Plymouth. New company vehicles sported the revamped brand image and livery, along with security officers wearing the new uniforms. Special guest at the event was Graham Dawe, Plymouth Albion Rugby Manager, who also hosted a charity auction of prizes with the proceeds going to St Lukes Hospice.
