One woman who recognises the value of major events to Plymouth is Shelly Monk.  She set up and runs Jigsaw Events, who now has plenty of work planning and running events throughout the city.

The way her business has developed is due in a major way to her own drive and determination, and her experience is already widely sought after in encouraging others.  She is no stranger to ambition and would dearly love to have a crack at running the World Powerboat Championships here in the city.  Good for her.

Thank you for your involvement in the Entrepreneurship Masterclass at Devonport High School for Girls on Thursday 12th January 2006.  Feedback from the morning was excellent, both students and teachers deemed the morning to be a great success.

You certainly managed to fully engage the students and evaluation forms emphasised that your talk was very inspirational.  By the end of the morning a large proportion of students indicated that they would be very interested in setting up their own business, which was exactly the outcome we were hoping to achieve.
